Savings & Investment Calculators
Choose between a savings goal, a growth projection and an investment-return comparison. Keep deposit timing, taxes, fees and inflation consistent when comparing scenarios. Assumed investment returns are hypothetical and do not guarantee a future balance.
Choose the right calculator
Plan savings and cash reserves
Savings solves supported balance and contribution goals. CD estimates a time-deposit outcome, while Emergency Fund, Budget and College Cost help organize personal planning assumptions.
Project growth or compare investments
Investment and Compound Interest model contributions and growth. ROI, CAGR, IRR and Average Return measure different aspects of performance; fees and taxes may change the comparison.
Check rates, timing and purchasing power
Interest and Simple Interest use different accrual conventions. Finance, Present Value and Future Value handle cash-flow timing, while Inflation and Real Return help distinguish nominal from purchasing-power results.

Understand the differences
Savings vs. Compound Interest
Savings supports goal-oriented calculations. Compound Interest supports growth and rate-conversion modes; choose the mode that matches deposits and compounding.
ROI vs. CAGR vs. IRR
ROI is a gain relative to cost, CAGR smooths endpoint growth, and IRR reflects modeled cash-flow timing. They are not interchangeable performance measures.
CD yield vs. investment return
A deposit product has contractual terms that must be checked with its issuer. An investment projection uses uncertain return assumptions and can involve loss of principal.
Common questions
Are the default return and inflation rates forecasts?
No. They are editable planning assumptions. Test multiple scenarios and review the methodology and scope of the selected tool.
Should I compare nominal or inflation-adjusted balances?
Use nominal values for future dollar amounts and inflation-adjusted values for purchasing-power comparisons. Keep all inputs and cash flows on a consistent basis.
Are taxes, fees and early withdrawals always included?
No. Coverage differs by tool and selected mode. Include supported inputs and verify account terms, tax treatment and withdrawal restrictions separately.
